• David Jon Landis made an initial appearance on an ongoing criminal conduct charge, three counts of a forgery charge, three counts of a theft-fifth degree charge and a lottery forgery or theft of ticket charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on March 29. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
• Trisha K. Mundt made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Jeffrey Hazen is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Mundt is being held without bond.
• Kinsey Gordon made an initial appearance on a absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on March 29. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
• Alejandro Sandoval made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Chad Frese is being hired as counsel. The paroled revocation hearing will be scheduled by the parole board and an administrative court judge. Sandoval is being held without bond.
• Angel Marie Pena made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree-enhanced charge. Christian Stickrod is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on April 4. Pena was released on her promise to appear.
• Dawn Marie Pieper made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. Pieper pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on April 25 in Magistrate Court.

• On Friday, a theft from a building was reported to the Marshalltown Police Department.
• On Saturday, a case of criminal mischief resulting in damage between $1,000-$10,000 was reported in the 100 block of North Fifth Street.
• On Sunday, two cases of vandalism was reported in the 200 block of East Linn Street.
• On Sunday, vandalism to property was reported in the 400 block of South Sixth Street.
• On Monday, a burglary to an unoccupied vehicle was reported in the 800 block of South Sixth Street.
• On Monday, a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of South First Street.
• On Monday, a trespass with no damage was reported in the 200 block of West Grant Street.

• On Friday, Vivian Burley, 59, was arrested for domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.
• On Friday, Clay Clubine, 23, was arrested for driving while license is denied or revoked and operating while under the influence-second offense.
• On Saturday, Justo Gonzalez, 20, was arrested for sexual abuse-third degree-child victim age 12/13-first offense.
• On Saturday, Jason Grau Solis, 32, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended and contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

Accidents
• On Tuesday, March 13, a car driven by Lourdes Gabriel Garcia Alonso, 31, of Marshalltown, was southbound on First Street stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with State Street. The driver proceeded forward into the path of a car driven by Danielle Marie Catron, 25, of Melbourne, resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported. Garcia Alonso was cited for no valid driver’s license and failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to the Garcia Alonso car was estimated at $5,000 while the Catron car received an estimated $500 in damage.
• On Saturday, March 17, a pickup driven by Alejandro Medina Pacina, of Tama, was westbound just west of the 18th Avenue exit from Highway 30 when due to the road conditions it entered the ditch and was stopped by a tree. The driver exited the vehicle and went for help leaving the five passengers. Damage to the pickup was estimated at $5,000.
• On Sunday, March 18, a car driven by a 17-year-old female from Haverhill was moving west through a Walmart parking lane when the driver looked to adjust the radio and collided with a vehicle driven by Marvin Lee Carty, 62, of Marshalltown which was driving north in a main access lane. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Carty vehicle was estimated at $500 while the juvenile’s car received an estimated $1,500 in damage.
• On Monday, March 19, a vehicle driven by Cheri Jean Bolar, 46, of Marshalltown, was southbound on South Third Avenue when it collided with a vehicle driven by Debra Marie Eash, 43, which was exiting a private driveway onto South Third Avenue. No injuries were reported. Eash was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway. Damage to the Bolar vehicle was estimated at $1,400 while the Eash vehicle received an estimated $3,200 in damage.
