Four arrested on drug charges

Four Marshalltown residents have been arrested on drug charges following an early morning drug bust.
On Tuesday, the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force served a narcotic search warrant at 718 Union St., in Marshalltown.
As a result of this investigation, four suspects were arrested and jailed on various criminal drug charges including:
• Raymond Shogren, 35, charged with possession of Schedule II controlled substance with the intent to deliver (methamphetamine); and a drug tax stamp violation.
• Jana Taylor, 33, charged with possession of Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine);
• Christine Alman, 30, charged with possession of meth-related drug paraphernalia; and
• Jason Nauman, 35, arrested on federal conspiracy drug charges.
Shogren and Taylor and Alman are all currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on $5,000, $2,000 and $300 cash or surety bonds, respectively.
Nauman was taken directly to Cedar Rapids by agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration in connection with the federal charges.
According to Sgt. Jim Gibson with the task force and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, officers found evidence of meth use and seized a quantity of meth with a potential street value of $1,600 to $1,800, drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm as a result of the search warrant.
More arrests are pending as the investigation continues.
The task force was assisted with the execution of the search warrants by the sheriff’s office and the Marshalltown Police Department.
