Finale off to a good start

Admittedly, “Breaking Dawn” isn’t my favorite book of the Twilight Saga. I would have been just fine if "Eclipse" concluded the story. So because of this, I wasn’t terribly excited to see the first part of the finale. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t really want to go to it in theaters, I just didn’t have that same anticipation as before.

In addition to seeing “Wicked” in Des Moines this weekend, my sister and I also caught Breaking Dawn Part 1 at Jordan Creek Century Theater. I was very happy with the result. I ended up liking the movie quite a lot. The movie really stayed true to the book and renewed my liking of the story and the movie franchise.

The story line is a lot different than any of the other three movies that have been released. There is definitely a more adult aspect to the love story between Edward and Bella.

But the first half of the book was the hardest for me to get through so Breaking Dawn Part 1 will never be my favorite movie. Things will definitely pick up after the cliffhanger Part 1 left us with. The movie did it’s true purpose well — set up for the dramatic conclusion in Part 2 coming out next fall. I can say I am definitely more excited for Part 2!
