| | Cruddy commercials, horrible halftime, great gameFebruary 6, 2012 - Luke StalzerAs many of you already know, the Super Bowl was held this past Sunday in Indianapolis and I can attest that it was a nail-biting game up until the last second. But what people look forward to most (the commercials and halftime show) I wasn't so impressed with. Is it just me or were the commercials funnier in the past years? Thinking back, the first one that comes to mind was the Betty White Snickers commerical. THAT was hilarious. The one's Sunday night were more serious like the two minute long Deimler-Chrysler commercial featuring Clint Eastwood. It was brilliant and I did like it, but where was the funny, entertaining part? And the Budweiser commercials; they were basically flashbacks to American pastimes. BORING. It just wasn't the same. And for the half time show...Oh. My. Gosh. What a joke. Anyone can walk around with what look like traffic cones on their chest and mouth lyrics to a song or two. You're not a true performer if you can't dance around stage and sing at the same time and in my personal opinion, Madonna is jealous of Lady Gaga. Here comes this girl (who is now one of the biggest stars in the world, if not the biggest) and people are saying she is the Madonna of this century, I truly think Madonna thought she could come out and show her up in front of millions on the most watched show of the year and she failed. She failed bad. But really, the game is all that matters and it was probably the best Super Bowl Game I have watched in a few years. And I'm truly thankful that the Patriots didn't win. Congratulations to the New York Giants and its fans for the big win. And shame on all of the Americans who called in to work "sick" on Monday...your boss isn't that dumb. Or are they? | Blog Photos![]() (Photo courtesy of Google Images) |
