| | Shout-out to my Wartburg Track and Field familyMarch 18, 2012 - Pam RodgersThis is a week overdue, but I would like to give a shout-out to the women’s track and field team who won the NCAA Division III indoor championships March 9-10 in Grinnell. This is the third win in the last four years for the program, and I am proud to be a Wartburg Knight alumna. I would remiss if I didn’t mention the throwers. Senior Sarah Hoffman (she was a freshman when I was senior so it’s hard to believe it’s her final year already!) Tied for first in the shot put. With the tie-break, she came in second but what a tremendous accomplishment for her. I was very excited when i saw her name so high on the results. The team set a meet record, earning 99 points. Sprinter, Nevada Morrison became a four-time champion in the 4x400 meter relay. That’s something that doesn’t happen a lot, believe me. I could go on and on listing the great things these women accomplished. For full results visit http://bit.ly/wM8VTb Congrats ladies!! Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
