Burger King and its 'bacon sundae'

Well, it's official. The bacon craze has gone to the next level and Burger King (of all people) is at the forefront.

The restaurant chain (which has seemed to be lagging behind other major fast food restaurants in recent years) has announced a new "bacon sundae" that they will add to their menu.

As a country that is trying to eliminate obesity, does Burger King seem to be taking the right approach? I guess I can give them the benefit of the doubt. After all, they did recently announced new "fruit smoothies" that I'm sure contain all kinds of beneficial fruit and are the healthiest items on their menus.

The point is, Burger King is taking their marketing techniques to the new level. Releasing this "bacon sundae" right at the point where people (especially men) start drooling when they hear the word, bacon, is sure to have people running in to their restaurants and of course they can't just buy the sundae...They'll first need to buy a complete meal with a fountain drink and then they'll be up for seconds and cure their cravings with a new "bacon sundae."

Congratulations, Burger King! Maybe you'll be able to pass McDonald's in becoming the number one fast food restaurant in the world!
