Petty selected for STEM council

August 7, 2012 - Andrew Potter

BCLUW and GMG schools Superintendent Ben Petty has been selected to be a part of Gov. Terry Branstad’s STEM Advisory Council. The council provides leadership in launching the STEM initiative in schools across the state, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. “I'm happy to be representing BCLUW and GMG, as well as our region and its economic interests, in this capacity,” Petty wrote in an email. Marshalltown Library Director Sarah Rosenblum is also on the council.
