Northern Iowa's home game against Saint Mary's postponed to Sunday

December 21, 2012 - Andy Heintz
Iowa’s blizzard wrecked havoc on several athletic events across the state the past few days.

Northern Iowa’s men’s basketball team also was affected as the Panthers’ home game against Saint Mary’s College has been moved to 1 p.m. Sunday in the McLeod Center.

The game was originally slated for 2 p.m. Saturday but Saint Mary’s travel schedule was delayed as a result of the winter storm.

The Gaels come into the game at 8-2. They beat the Panthers last season in the only meeting between the two schools. Northern Iowa currently holds a 10-game home win streak and that ranks 11th best in the nation.

Any used or unused game ticket for the Saint Mary’s game also can be used for admission into UNI’s home games on Jan. 2 against Indiana State or on Jan. 9 against Evansville. General admission tickets are still available for Sunday’s Saint Mary’s game for just $5.
