Heat, Pacers provide a thrilling series start
May 28, 2013 - Andrew Potter
Though game three was a bit of a let down, the first two games of the NBA Eastern Conference finals between the Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat were as good as it gets. They were both back and forth affairs and included some last-second heroics and highlight reel plays, mostly from Indiana’s Paul George and Miami’s LeBron James. My favorite part of the series came when George blew by James on a dribble then dunked emphatically in the face of Chris “Birdman” Andersen. James then came down and heaved up a 30-footer that sank at the end of a quarter. The two then slapped hands as a show of mutual respect. Let’s hope this series continues its share of highlights as the Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs await the winner for the NBA Finals.
