Envirothon team wows school board

September 24, 2013 - Bennet Goldstein

The Marshalltown School Board seemed impressed with a presentation this week by a group of Marshalltown High School students who took part in the national Envirothon competition. Speaking at the recent meeting were Abby Snyder, Sean Finn, Adam Willman and Wynn Tan. They talked about their adventures camping on their trip to the competition in Montana. The team took 11th place overall with the help of Joe Metzger, who is a spring MHS graduate. Envirothon is a team competition testing high school students on topics such as critical thinking skills and knowledge about environmental topics. Congratulations to the team. Judging by their presentation skills they exemplified Monday night, they all have bright futures ahead of them.
