I'm sorry, Shane
October 22, 2013 - Bennet Goldstein
Being a Red Sox fan, I had plenty of not-so-kind words to describe the performance of Boston outfielder Shane Victorino in the American League Championship Series. He was terrible at the plate through five games and finally broke through with a grand slam to help the Red Sox win the pennant in Game 6. I have to now apologize to Shane since I cursed his name plenty of times as he whiffed at fastballs and popped up bunt attempts. Now, I hope he shook off whatever made him so terrible so he can contribute to the World Series effort against the St. Louis Cardinals. Game one starts Wednesday night. I think it should be an entertaining series with two evenly-matched teams.
