R.I.P. Paul Walker

December 5, 2013 - Brett Van Waus
Over Thanksgiving weekend a great man passed away, Paul Walker. When I heard the news my heart shattered. He was so much more than a good looking man and a great actor. I was reading an article online and found out he was a father. He had a 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. Walker also founded Reach Out Worldwide, a disaster-relief nonprofit. Unlike most celebrities, he was humble about it. I didn’t even know that he had a charity. The saddest part about all this is that he and his driver died in a car accident, in a Porsche, after the driver hit a light pole. His death was very ironic, considering he was in the ‘Fast and the Furious’ movies, but I think it’s also an eye opener for many. I love cars, but I don’t like Porsches, I never have. They are dangerous. This isn’t the first death by Porsche I have heard of and I doubt it will be the last. The cars go way to fast and really only trained professionals should have them. Paul Walker, you will be missed and the ‘Fast and the Furious’ movies will not be the same without you, you were a great actor that will never be forgotten. My prayers and heart go to his family.
