'Downton Abbey' set for return
December 17, 2013 - Andrew Potter
We are less than three weeks away and the anticipation is building in my household. No, it’s not Christmas or New Year’s — it’s the return of “Downton Abbey.” The highly-addictive show on PBS returns for its fourth season on Jan. 5. Last season, my wife and I became one of those addicts and had to purchase the previous three seasons just to tide us over the past few months until season four. We can’t wait to see how Lady Mary moves on after the death of her husband and father of their son. And there’s always something brewing downstairs, where the servants are either fighting, falling in love or bumbling up something. The scenery is also breathtaking as it is set in a real castle. We’ll be tuning in after the new year, just as millions of other Americans will be be. Now I just have to make sure I don’t read any updates over the Internet, which can be real spoilers for the show, since the episodes have aired in England.
