Getting acquainted with my Kindle Fire

January 15, 2014 - Pam Rodgers

For Christmas, I received a Kindle Fire HD. I have been learning the ins and outs of the device since I excitedly extracted it from the box.

For the past year, I have slowly been moving my leisure book library to a digital one, thanks to my iPhone. As much as I love to read paperback novels, the problem is what to do with the book once I have finished. I have used up the available space on my bookshelf and have a few boxes packed up to donate. I share as many as I can with my sister but I still have overflow. I won’t give up print books completely. I love them far too much. Now I just have another option to enjoy a good book and won’t be limited by lack of shelf space.

But that is just one way to make use of my Kindle Fire. I have enjoyed movies, games, television shows, music, shopping, email, social networking and other activities on my tablet. I don't want to sound like a commercial, but I really do like my Kindle Fire. The more I use it, the happier I am that I asked Santa for it for Christmas. I am just glad he listened this year. ;)
