Bulls are showing heart
March 4, 2014 - Bennet Goldstein
If you would have told me at the beginning of this NBA season that my Chicago Bulls would have lost their best player to injury (Derrick Rose) and traded away one of their other top players (Luol Deng), I would have thought they would be basement dwellers in the Eastern Conference. But here we are in March and lo and behold but the Bulls have a record of 33-27. I have to give a shout out to head coach Tom Thibodeau and some inspired play by Joakim Noah and the rest of the team. Yes, the Eastern Conference is pretty lackluster this year, but some of these wins are coming against Western Conference powers. After the Deng trade I was scared to watch a Bulls game for awhile, but now I’m finding them fun to watch again. It’s obvious they need another piece to be serious title contenders, but those who counted this team out earlier in the season are having a change of heart. It’s pretty fun to watch a team full of millionaires who are set for the rest of their lives financially play with so much passion and heart.
