Dining with kindergartners

April 8, 2014 - Andrew Potter

I had the awesome opportunity to have lunch with my 5-year-old daughter at her school on Tuesday. It was fun to learn about her world during the day when I don’t see her. Oh, if I could only tell you all the stories I heard from her fellow kindergartners. They were definitely a hoot. I even had one kid tell a staff member that the tall guy he just met (me) is his new friend. I talked legos with that kid and children’s television shows with a few others seated next to us. The enthusiasm from these students really brightened my day. As far as the meal, it also gets a thumbs up. It was a burger with a side dish of kiwi and a salad. That’s a lot healthier than I remember from my school days, but it was still pretty good.
