Family game night still alive
April 23, 2014 - Pam Rodgers
My family loves to play games. Whether it is board games, card games or sports, we are all over it.
I’m so glad that the love of games has continued into our adulthood. In fact, it has increased in some ways. The types of games have changed a little from our youth, but the enjoyment has stayed the same.
Right now, we seem to be on a board game kick, especially trivia games. A couple years ago we discovered a board game called Bezzerwizzer. It is a trivia game modeled after a popular British game of the same name. There are 20 different categories and trivia ranging from common knowledge to the obscure. We tend to play in teams to make the game more competitive.
Other favorites are Apples to Apples, Trivial Pursuit (we have several versions), Clue, Risk, Monopoly and Life. We’ve been trying out a few new ones as well called Wits and Wagers and DixIt. We are always on the lookout for new games to try out. Some get added to the good pile. Others are shuffled to the back of the closet never to be seen again.
Oh, I forgot to mention SceneIt. We have a wall of different versions of the game at home. I think the last count was at nine, but I’m not sure. The biggest argument is over which one we should play first. Not that we fight while we play games. We all get along perfectly, except when I’m losing of course. ;)
If you like trivia games, you should give Bezzerwizzer a chance. It really tests your knowledge!
