Wild start to NBA playoffs

April 29, 2014 - Andrew Potter
This has been the wildest first round of the NBA playoffs that I can remember — with or without the banning of Clippers owner Donald Sterling over inexcusable racist remarks. I don’t remember this many top-seeded teams sweating out the first round before. The Pacers, Spurs and Thunder all have had their hands full with their match-ups when they were expected to have mere tune-ups for later rounds. With these top seeds struggling, it would appear the playoffs would be there for the taking for my Chicago Bulls, but unfortunately they have laid an egg in their series against the Washington Wizards. It appears the only team playing up to expectations is the Miami Heat — sorry all of you Heat haters but they appear destined for another championship run. If too many top teams fall it’s not good in my view as we are left with mediocre teams — and the Heat — to duke it out for the title.
