ESPN, ease up with the Lebron talk, you are wearing us out
June 19, 2014 - Andy Heintz
The national media can jam things down your throat with the hopes you get as interested in it as they do.
I am a Lebron James fan and love watching him play. But this whole “what is Lebron going to do” thing is just driving me crazy.
The Spurs just won the title and did so against the Heat in impressive fashion. I know San Antonio won’t get the love that Lebron and the Heat get. But has ESPN had any segments on how good the Spurs were this year?
Tim Duncan is now a five-time champion and he deserves much more than he is getting.
I do care where Lebron ends up. I think the topic is worth talking about. But does every other segment have to have someone’s opinion on what they are hearing or what they think?
It’s overkill. They are just vomiting Lebron James all over their viewers and hoping it turns into a milkshake.
Part of the hate that comes James’ way is caused by networks like ESPN that refuse to talk about anything else. James isn’t telling them to interview someone about him every day.
He is the best player on the planet. There is no doubt about that.
Let’s just ease into this who conversation. Otherwise, the entire sports world will be all Lebron-ed out by July 1. If they aren’t already there yet.
