Cash Cab lesser of evils at 5:30 p.m.

April 21, 2009 - Bennet Goldstein
Since most national news at 5:30 p.m. is economic doom and gloom lately, I’ve taken to watching more of the "Cash Cab" show on the Discovery Channel. The show has unsuspecting people get into a New York City cab and find themselves on a game show. At least I thought it was unsuspecting. When the credits ran on the show one time I saw that some contestants have been pre-screened. Some do seem like ringers on the show. The host Ben Bailey can be funny at times and annoying at times. But most of all you can learn meaningless trivia from the show, and can try your wit against the random man or woman off the street.
