Traffic copter needed

After hearing the viaduct repair project on Center Street will be delayed I’m wondering if I should morph into a traffic reporter come Aug. 20. That will be when school starts and most likely doubling the cars on the road as parents drive children and buses get moving. I’ve witnessed the back ups on Sixth Street during prime commuting hours with Center Street closed and wonder what the traffic will be like when the school parents and buses are added to the mix. I’ve also heard Third Avenue gets backed up quite a bit and that should be even more so when Anson Elementary and Marshalltown High School start up. I’ll see if I can get the T-R to spring for a traffic copter so I can report on this expected mess of cars. I’m betting not, so you are on your own.
