High school football is back
August 27, 2009 - Andrew Potter
In my former days as a sports writer, high school football was nearly my life. I’d arrive to games prior to the sophomore game, get set up with other photographers and talk football. We’d size up the opponent, dish last-minute injury rumors and point out the most dressed-up or weird-looking student in the stands. The season has returned and I’m making it my goal to get to more games this year. The one foremost on my radar is the Marshalltown-Newton game Oct. 2. It will be homecoming for the Bobcats, and if recent history is any indicator, this will be a close one between two rivals.
