Best candy places travel fast
October 5, 2009 - Bennet Goldstein
Halloween is just around the corner which means the fabled tradition will have dressed-up children lining the streets. I remember communication was key to getting a good haul when trick-or-treating. If a house gave out lots of candy or full candy bars, word would spread fast among the children. You may even see children scrambling to somehow change their costume to try to pull off repeat visits to these homes. On the other side of the coin, I remember about 10 years ago at Halloween my thrifty mother gave out individual sticks of Big Red gum. She also got an insincere “thanks a lot” from some teenager too big to go trick-or-treating in the first place. If you can actually drive yourself to homes, you are too old to go trick-or-treating.
