The excitement of owning a car
October 26, 2009 - Pam Rodgers
It’s exciting owning your first car instead of the “long-term” borrowing from your parents. I made that leap at the beginning of summer when the car I was using from my parents broke down beyond all repair. While I didn’t splurge for a brand new vehicle, I purchased a pre-owned buick in really good shape with reasonable milage on it. It’s great to have an automobile that you can call your own, except when it breaks and you can longer pawn the problem off on other people and more importantly, their pocketbook.
Last week, I took my car in because it was making a weird buzzing noise every time I drove it. The diagnosis, a bad wheel bearing on the front driver side wheel. I am saying an extra prayer for the warranty I bought with the car. It definitely saved me some money with repair.
Bottom line is, owning your first car is great, as long as the car doesn’t have problems...kinda obvious though isn’t it.
