So You Think You Can

December 3, 2009 - Pam Rodgers
Well, It’s about time for me to get back to my favorite subject: TV Shows! I am now going to talk about a new one that I enjoy. This summer, I got hooked on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, SYTYCD. Already a fan of Dancing With The Stars, I quite enjoyed watching it. I could not of predicted how attached I got to season 5’s cast of dancers. I enjoyed all of them, but, by far, my favorite was Jeanine. And what was even sweeter, she won the title "America’s Favorite Dancer." I am proud to say that my votes helped her achieve that status (no one needs to know how many times I voted, I would look obsessed; so, let’s just say two phone lines were involved and two whole hours of voting).
SYTYCD was a summer only program but imagine my delight when I found out they were coming back for a Fall season. I have been watching season 6 since the auditions and I like the cast of dancers. However, it still has yet to live up to season 5’s greatness. I will say that I favor the ballroom dancers Ashleigh and Ryan (thank you DWTS). They are a married couple and both are just outstanding. Jakob is also at the top of my list. I honestly don’t know who is going to win this season cause there hasn’t been one stand-out, personality-wise. That’s how Jeanine sold me last season. She was a good dancer but she was also the easiest to relate to. For season 6, all of the dancers have been really, really good, I just haven’t seen the best personality yet. I have to say that if I had to pick today, it would be Jakob. To me, he has shown the most personality and his dancing is the best out of all the performers. It also helps that he’s Jeanine’s best friend.
I have enjoyed watching the dancing this season. They are down to the Top 8. They are all fun to watch so it's hard to see anyone go, but that's the nature of the competition. I can’t wait to see who will be America’s next Favorite Dancer.
