Snow, snow go away, come again other year

January 6, 2010 - Pam Rodgers
OK, enough. I have had my fill of snow for the season. Please tell the man upstairs, the powers that be or whoever it is you believe controls the universe to stop making it snow. As of the time I am writing this blog, no new snow has hit the ground, but I just looked at the radar, and it isn’t pretty. Can’t we just have one week this winter where it isn’t snowing, raining (that was weird), sleeting, freezing, blowing or just plain crappy weather? Come on. When are we going to catch a break this year...June? This winter has been long enough already and it’s only the first full week of January. Aye, yi, yi.
I know the old come back, this is Iowa, I should just be used to it. But no, I will never be used to it enough to not wish for a milder winter. I remember winters in Iowa where we had little to no snow, and I got by with wearing only sweatshirts outside instead four plus layers, stocking hat, thick gloves and a scarf.
I will be most happy when the temperature reaches 30 again let alone 40 or 50. So please, God, no more snow, please.
