A near miss with ice

I should apparently read the paper I work at before doing outdoor housework in the winter. A day before an Associated Press story said it’s best to let icicles hang off gutters, I attempted to knock some down from the back of my house. This one had several icicles fused together into a block of solid ice. I nudged it a little and decided that would not work so I already had plans to go back in the garage to find a tool to chip away at it. Before I did that I gave it one more nudge and this solid block came crashing down. Luckily, I was leaning away from it and able to get out of the way. If not, that ice would have not felt too good on the noggin and I may have been blogging from the hospital. Be careful out there folks.
