One thing is for sure, Shrek can be enjoyed by all ages. My sister and I went to Shrek Forever After (in 3D), and we both enjoyed it a lot. Shrek, Donkey, Fiona and Puss in Boots were back and better than ever. The fourth installment to the series was a great way to wrap up the story. I won't get into details, but it did a great showing just how important everyone’s favorite ogre is to Far Far Away.
My favorite character is definitely Puss in Boots. He is just awesome and very funny. Antonio Banderas has the perfect voice for him. He just makes the movie. I’m glad to see that there will be a Puss in Boots prequel to tell the story behind the character (since he was only in three of the movies). If the writers keep up with similar material, it should be an enjoyable movie.
Now back to the movie, it was nice to see the Shrek creators come up with a different villain than Prince Charming because he got annoying. Two movies was definitely enough. It was time to move on.
Shrek Forever After is a great movie, across the board. It has everything of the last three movies but done in a fresh new way so the material doesn’t become old. It was a great movie. The kid in me is very happy that I went to see it.
