It’s done, now get back to baseball

August 8, 2010 - Pam Rodgers

Alex Rodriguez made history on Aug. 4 by becoming the seventh and youngest player in major league baseball history to hit 600 home runs. Anyone following the sports scene would know that it took A-Rod a long time to hit the 600th. It was the only thing some people could talk about every time he had an at bat. Now it’s done. He did it in spectacular fashion in Yankee Stadium to straight away center field. It was a well hit ball and a great way to get the proverbial monkey off his back.
Now that it is done, let’s get back to good baseball. A-Rod can now relax and play as he always has in the past. Statistically, this has been one of his worst seasons in his career. But as with everything in sports, stats are only what you have done. There is plenty of season left for A-Rod to turn himself around plus the post-season. So, congrats to A-Rod on his big time homer, now go play baseball like you usually do.
