Great time at the fair

 I have lived in Iowa my whole life and I finally went to the Iowa State Fair on the 21st. In the past I was either out of town or playing ball during the time of the fair so I was never able to make it down for the festivities. I have to say I had a great time. There is something for everyone. I personally enjoyed seeing the horses. I went the draft horse show and those animals a magnificent.

The six hitch Percheron display was the most impressive. I thought  Clydesdales and Belgians were huge, Percherons are even bigger. They are either black or various colors of gray. I was in awe with them.

My next favorite thing was the food. It was everything anyone had told me. I tried to sample the many delights but you can only have so much in one day. I guess I will have to go back next year and add on to the fair experience.
