Fire truck blows tire

October 12, 2010 - Bennet Goldstein
If you were traveling north over the Center Street bridge in Marshalltown Tuesday afternoon around 1 p.m. you may have been detoured. The northbound lane was closed as a Marshalltown fire truck blew a tire. The road was still open going south but as I drove by I saw the truck being attended to by tire truck that was transporting a load of huge tires. Yes, even those who attend to others in need like firefighters need some roadside help now and then. The good news is the truck appeared to be heading back to the fire station and not on the way to a call.
