Dragon movie decent, not great

My one-minute movie review is back and this past week I saw “How to Train Your Dragon” which was recently released on DVD. When I watched it at home I was a little distracted by a 2-year-old, but I can say the story kept me interested. The story is about a young man named Hiccup who doesn’t fit into the Viking lifestyle and befriends a dragon. Dragons are the Vikings’ worst enemies so he feels pulled in different directions. The animation was decent but it seems we’ve been so spoiled by this type of animation in recent years there really isn’t a “Wow” factor any more. If I saw this again I might be able to pay attention to the comedy more since I think I missed a few Viking jokes the first time. Yes, I have trouble keeping up even with childrens movies sometimes. I give it an 7.5 out of 10 — worth seeing for good family fun but don’t expect this flick to knock your socks off.
