Worst elimination of the season

October 27, 2010 - Pam Rodgers
Last night, Audrina Patridge was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. I think this is the worst elimination thus far in Season 11. She has been in the top 3 judges rankings from the beginning and has showed lots improvement and even more potential. I really looked forward to seeing her dance with Tony each week. She wasn't my favorite to win, but I at least saw in in the finale. I was very sad to see her go. The two I would have sent home was either Bristol Palin or Kurt Warner. These two made up the bottom of the judges leader board and would have been justified in going home. It is a travesty that Audrina was bounced from the show and these two are still getting to dance. I am putting a lot of the blame on the judges. While they gave her a 24 (three eights is a great score for those who don’t watch DWTS), they reamed her throughout their comments. I personally liked her paso doble and thought it was a high quality dance, and with the scores they got, the judges obviously agreed. But did they say as much, no! They just nitpicked that her character was perfect throughout the dance. What baloney! The paso calls for an intensity and she was intense from the beginning! I am still in shock that she was eliminated. This has always been my biggest complaint about the show. There is an ongoing urge to cheer for the underdog, which is fine. But after so many weeks, the underdogs need to start going home.
