Made my way to 'Full Throttle'
December 23, 2010 - Bennet Goldstein
When all else fails and nothing is on television I often turn to the truTV channel to come up with something.. Lately it seems the channel actually has gotten me hooked on a show. Have you seen the show “Full Throttle Saloon” which follows events at a biker bar in Sturgis, S.D.? For some reason this show has drawn me in. First, there is the bar owner Michael who stresses out that he’s not going to make enough money night in and night out. Michael’s girlfriend is Angie, who is a dancer at the bar and allegedly has the most photographed backside in the world. Angie is quite a bit better looking that Michael but I’m sure her love for him is based on his character and not his checkbook. Maybe. The main focus on the show is Michael who seems to live and die each night and with the money he rakes in. One rainstorm might cost him his business he likes to say. I think he’s prone to being a little dramatic for the cameras, but that’s probably what the producers like. In the end it is a mindless show that doesn’t take much thinking to watch. Aren’t those the best?
