Rodgers: A long lost brother
February 7, 2011 - Pam Rodgers
While I still maintain that I was neutral for the Super Bowl, I have to admit a little part of me wanted the Packers to win. The only thing I ask for every year from the Super Bowl is for it to be a good game, and that is exactly what we got Sunday. Both teams showed why they deserved to be there, and I was glad to see the green and gold come out on top.
One reason I wanted Green Bay to win is I really like Aaron Rodgers. My brother claims him to be a long-lost brother because he spells his last name correctly. I roll my eyes at James when he says that, but I do like that he has a ‘d’ in his name, making us both members of the rebel Rodgers clan. My brother draws another similarity to Aaron because James was quarterback in high school and his number was 12 so, even though he’s a die-hard Cowboys fan, he can’t help but root for Rodgers.
Rodgers was well deserving of the Super Bowl MVP. He will always be compared to Bret Farve, but I feel like this is a step in the right direction to separate himself as another great quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Congrats to the Packers!
