Incidents
On June 22, Betty Joann Geddis, 405 Summit St., reported the theft of a wooden bench and a stroller from a patio on the west side of the house. Estimated value of loss was $350.
On June 22, Betty Joann Geddis, 405 Summit St., reported hit and run damage to the bumper, tail light and passenger side quarter panel on a 1999 Dodge Caravan while parked in the east lot of Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Estimated value of damage was $500.
On June 22, Julio Gutierrez Elizarraras, 509 N. 4th Ave., reported the theft of a Pioneer detachable face AM/FM/CD car stereo and a Dual AM/FM/CD car stereo from a Chevy Camaro and a Chevy Blazer both while parked in his driveway. Estimated value of loss was $350.
On June 22, Traci Shattuck, 209 S. 4th Ave. Apt. #2, reported hit and run damage to the driver side rear quarter panel on a Pontiac Sunfire while parked at the residence. Estimated value of damage was $700.

On June 22, Christopher Wayne Holdsworth, 703 Jackson St. Apt. #1, was arrested for aggravated domestic assault and firearm as a felon.
On June 22, Michael Denis Oliver, 205 W. Nevada St. Apt. #3, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance (Enhanced) (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
On June 22, Pedro Gonzalez-Mabano, 108 N. 14th Ave., was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Accidents
On June 22, a car driven by Jorge Nunez-Baeza, 711 May St., was eastbound in the inside lane on East Linn Street and in an attempt to turn left onto South First Avenue it collided with a vehicle driven by Debra Lynn Brewer, Albion, which was also travelling east in the outside lane. No injuries were reported. Nunez-Baeza was cited for improper use of lanes while Brewer was cited for violation-financial liability-accident. Damage to the Brewer vehicle was estimated at $4000 while the Nunez-Baeza car received an estimated $1500 in damage.
On June 22, a car driven by Joan Delores Ailts, 2222 Gary Court, was northbound on South Second Street stopped at the stop sign when in an attempt to cross Nicholas Drive the driver's view was blocked by two legally parked vehicles and it collided with a vehicle driven by Alyssa Kristine Hall, 1515 Brentwood Terrace, which was travelling west on Nicholas Drive. No injuries were reported. Ailts was cited for failure to obey a stop or yield sign. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2000 each.

Arrests
On June 19, Kendra Danielle Walker, 6 E. Webster St. Apt. #2, was arrested on a local criminal warrant.
On June 17, David John Murphy, Albion, was arrested on an other county warrant.
On June 17, Lana Lea Clement, Rhodes, was arrested for simple assault.
On June 16, Terry Wayne Housley, Newton, was arrested on a local criminal warrant.
Accidents
On June 26, a pickup driven by Kurt Eugene Pille, St. Anthony, was eastbound in St. Anthony when it swerved to miss a deer in the roadway near Howard Street, went out of control, entered the north ditch striking the alley embankment and going airborne landing in the ditch east of the north-south alley that is between Howard and Liberty streets. Pille and passenger, Hollie Marie Settles, Mount Pleasant, were transported to Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Damage to the Pille pickup was estimated at $7000.
On June 19, a car driven by David Gregory Brown, Garwin, was westbound on the Garwin Road when it struck a deer which had entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Brown car was estimated at $2500.
