Vicki Lynn (Jackson) Overman, 41, of Rhodes died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Memorial services will be held 10 am Friday, July 3, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, with burial of the cremated remains to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Vicki was born in Des Moines, graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1985 and attended AIB College of Business in Des Moines. She was a dental technician at Cannon Dental Lab and later was the office manager at Dental Arts.

Vicki married Mike Overman on October 5, 2002. She was a member of the Humane Society of the United States and had a strong love for animals.

Vicki leaves behind her three dogs, Peaches, Gizmo and Bonnie.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Mike Overman, her step children, Abra Huffaker of Melbourne, Wesley, Benjamin and Nicholas Overman, all of Rhodes; her Mother and Step-father, Eleanor and Dan Smith of Grimes; her siblings, Bobby (Doris) Jackson of Lorimor, Kevin (Barbara) Jackson of Winterset, Kathy (Todd) Bowman of Johnston; nephews, B.J. Jackson, Jr. and Tanner Bowman; her aunt Rosemary Nesheim of Des Moines and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Jackson and her aunt, Shirley Smith.
