GARWIN - Class A No. 4 North Tama jumped all over GMG from the outset and ran away with a 60-0 win as the 2010 state champion Redhawks had a strong start to the year.

The Redhawks (1-0) scored 46 first-half points to put things away early.

A blocked punt by Dalton Hulme was scooped up by Mitchell Boerm for a score at the 10-minute mark, and North Tama added touchdown runs from Nick Whannel and Jacob Wrage in the frame.

Wrage added another TD in the second quarter while Brent Billerbeck had a pair of touchdowns in the frame, one on a 22-yard run and another on a 15-yard pass from Wrage.

Dustin Serafin had an 8-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Jordan Mask returned a fumble 23 yards to finish the night's scoring.

Tanner Swanger kicked a 31-yard field goal.

The Redhawks reached 60 points in a game for the fifth time in school history.

North Tama hosts HLV next week while the Wolverines (0-2) travel to BCLUW.
