BAXTER - Class 2A No. 2 West Marshall went on the road and ran away from the host CMB Raiders, 55-16, in a District 7 football game Friday night.

The Trojans (6-0, 4-0) trailed 3-0 after the first period, but it was all West Marshall from there.

Dalton Ferch rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns, had a receiving touchdown and also returned a punt 70 yards for a third-quarter score for West Marshall.

Braydn Beals completed two of his three passing attempts, with both catches going for touchdowns. He hooked up with Josh Bunn for a 76-yard score to start a 20-point second quarter, and his 75-yarder to Dalton Ferch capped a 21-point third period for the Trojans.

Devin Chesler capped the scoring with a 21-yard TD scamper for the Trojans, who host fourth-ranked Fort Dodge St. Edmond (6-0, 4-0) next Friday night in State Center.

Dustin Aikin and Chesler led West Marshall with 11 tackles apiece. Dalton Ferch also had two interceptions and Josh Bunn another.

Cody Schmitz had two touchdown passes for CMB (4-2, 2-2).
