Thoren of North Tama to coach in Shrine Bowl

The Iowa High School Football Coaches Association has released the coaching staffs for the 2012 Iowa Shrine All-Star Football Classic and Brent Thoren of North Tama has been selected to participate.

Thoren will be an assistant coach for the North squad.

The North's head coach is Don Anderson of North Iowa, while the South head coach is Brian Albert of Glenwood.

The 40th annual all-star game will be held July 21, 2012 at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.

Thoren is 35-3 in his three years as head coach of the Redhawks, which includes an undefeated Class A state championship in 2010.
