Kyle Carnahan has been chosen as the 2011 Marshalltown High School senior football player to receive the Nick Norris Award.

Carnahan was an all-state safety for the 8-3 Bobcats that had 144 total tackles and five interceptions this past fall.

The award (named after a former MHS football player who died overseas while trying to make a night landing in his fighter jet) is given annually by the Bobcat coaching staff based on leadership, contribution to the team and sportsmanship or personal sacrifice for the good of the squad.
