Marshalltown Police Department
On Wednesday, Jose Saul Armenta, 502 N. 2nd Ave., reported hit and run damage to the passenger side of a vehicle while at Lenihan School, 212 W. Ingledue St., Estimated value of damage was $1,000.
On Wednesday, a person associated with the Iowa River Off Highway Vehicle Club, 1800 Marion St., reported the theft of 200 feet of steel braided cable from the parking lot. Estimated value of loss was $100.
On Thursday, Wheeler Alan Hulin, 2053 230th St., was arrested for harassment, first degree, serious assault, criminal mischief, fourth degree and disorderly conduct.
On Thursday, Racer Allin Hulin, of Laurel, was arrested for criminal mischief, fourth degree, disorderly conduct and serious assault.
On Tuesday, a car driven by Freddy Ramirez-Gallardo, 1605 S. 2nd Ave., was southbound in the Marshalltown High School parking lot, turning left to enter Bobcat Boulevard when it struck a handicap sign post owned by the school. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ramirez-Gallardo car was estimated at $2,000 while the handicap sign received an estimated $50 in damage.
On Wednesday, a car driven by Sarah Rochelle Desautels, 514 S. 4th St., was parked facing eastbound in the 300 block of West Ingledue when it pulled forward and collided with a vehicle driven by Jose Saul Armenta, 502 N. 2nd Ave., which was turning right into the parking lot. No injuries were reported. Desautels was cited for violation-financial liability-accident. Damage to the Desautels car was estimated at $800 while the Armenta vehicle received an estimated $1,000 in damage.
Marshall County Sheriff's Office
On Jan. 2 James Leroy Clawson, 3231 Garwin Rd., reported damage to a surround system and trailer at his residence and the theft of Budweiser clothing, three semi Budweiser toy trucks and three bar neon Budweiser signs. Estimated value of loss was $685.
On Dec. 26 Terry James Saunders, of Gilman, reported the theft of a Jeep Wrangler from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $1,600.
On Saturday Clarence James John Thede, of Laurel, was arrested for two counts of forgery/counterfeiting, larceny/theft from building and two counts of weapon law violation.
On Friday Cornelius Kylan Gully, of Des Moines, was arrested for theft, fifth degree.
Marshalltown Fire Department
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an outside rubbish fire at 209 E. Main St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 205 W. Olive St., 1211 W. State St., 3120 S. 2nd St., 105 1/2 W. Grant St., and 3202 S. 12th St.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke or odor removal at 5 S. 7th St., an outside rubbish fire at 716 W. Madison St., a building fire at 10 S. 3rd St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 206 Nicholas Dr., 1 W. Grant St., 301 N. 12th Ave., 403 S. 1st St., and 210 S. 5th St.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an alarm system activation/no fire/unintentional to 212 W. Ingledue St., a detector activation/no fire/unintentional to 1602 S. 2nd Ave., a dispatched/cancelled en route to Highway 146, a dumpster or other outside rubbish trash receptacle fire at 134 E. Main St., and a medical assist with the EMS crew to 211 W. Church St.
