Mary McCann Fuchsen and Chris Fuchsen, of Liscomb, are the parents of a son, Foster Paul Fuchsen, born Dec. 9, 2011, at 11:38 p.m. at home, weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces and measuring 22 inches long. Grandparents are Steve and Debbie McCann, Ron and Donna Fuchsen and Kathy and Cege Mason.

Mary and Andrew Potter, of Marshalltown, are the parents of a son, Colin Edward Potter, born at 5:47 p.m. on Jan. 3, weighing 9 pounds and measuring 21 inches long. Colin joins sister Kayla, 3. Grandparents are Edward and Caryl McWeeny, of Gowrie and Gene and Mary Ellen Potter, of Sandwich, Ill.

Doug and Andrea McDaniel, of Marshalltown, are the parents of a son, Brecken Wayne McDaniel, born Jan. 10 at 3:30 a.m. at MMSC. Brecken joins siblings Bergen, Meriden and Sydney. Grandparents are Gary and Bethany McDaniel, of Clinton and Rich and Cyndy Nybo, of Northfied, Minn.

Maschelle Joan Duff, of Melbourne, made an initial appearance on a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 due immediately.

Sandra Patricia Juhl, of Hanlontown, made an initial appearance on a theft, fifth degree charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $320 due immediately.

James Crocker, 220 Glenda Dr. Apt. #4, made an initial appearance on a child endangerment charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his case. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 23. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order was issued on behalf of the protected party.

Jeremy Clingerman, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a failure to yield to an emergency vehicle charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $200 due immediately.

Paul Langbehn, of Green Mountain, made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a flashing red light charge, a interference with official acts charge and a no insurance charge. He pleaded guilty to the failure to obey a flashing red light charge and was fined $35 with a $2.25 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $97.25 due immediately. The other two charges were dismissed with court charges of $60 each due immediately.

Amber Baker, 1301 S. 2nd Ave., made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge, a contempt of court-failure to appear charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The court appointed Merrill Swartz to represent her in these cases. The Parole Revocation Hearing will be scheduled by the Department of Correctional Services as their calendar permits. The Contempt Hearing will be rescheduled by the Magistrate Court as their docket permits. She pleaded not guilty on the possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 14. Bond is set at $253.40 cash on the possession of drug paraphernalia charge. No Bond was allowed for the other two charges.

Michael Grandstaff, 533 N. 3rd St. Apt. A, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a open container charge. He pleaded not guilty to both charges and a Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 21.

Tammy Lawson, 807 S. 3rd Ave., made an initial appearance on a harassment, third degree charge. She pleaded not guilty and a Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 21. A no-contact order was issued on behalf of the protected party.

Carolyn Condit, 2322 W. Main St. Rd., made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge, a driving under suspension charge and a no driver's license charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her cases. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 31. Bond will remain as posted.

Pedro Lopez Guido, 608 E. Church St., made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge and a loud noises from vehicle charge. He pleaded not guilty on the no insurance charge and a Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 21. He pleaded guilty to the loud noises from vehicle charge and was fined $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50 due immediately.

Joleen Wanatee, 412 S. 3rd St. Apt. #2, made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge and a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge. The no insurance charge was dismissed by the court with court costs of $60 assessed due immediately. She pleaded guilty to the driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 due immediately.

Melanie Walker, 220 Glenda Dr. Apt. #4, made an initial appearance on a child endangerment charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her case. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 31. Walker was released through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact them within five days. A no-contact order was issued on behalf of the protected party.

Robert Meling, 708 Jackson St., made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a stop or yield sign charge. He pleaded not guilty and a Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 21.

Incidents

On Thursday, Micheal Hatchitt, 206 W. South St., reported hit and run damage to the right side of a 2006 Pontiac G6 while parked at 300 E. Church St. Estimated value of damage was $1,200.

On Thursday, an employee with Kapaun & Brown, 1002 W. Lincolnway, reported damage to a used York air conditioner to get the copper tubing. Estimated value of damage was $250.

Citations

On Wednesday, a juvenile was cited for possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance with the intent to deliver (marijuana)/

On Wednesday, another juvenile was cited for possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Thursday, Jonathan Lee Jensen, 1507 1/2 W. State St., was arrested for public intoxication.

On Wednesday, Melanie Winifred Walker, 220 Glenda Dr. Apt #4, was arrested for child endangerment/aid & abet.
