David Brintnall is soft spoken in a good way as a fifth grade student at Marshalltown Area Catholic School's St. Mary attendance center.
Brintnall shows compassion for others and is a good classmate to his fellow students.
"He's nice to everyone," said his teacher Peggy Davis. "He respects everyone and is helpful to others and works well with others."

Brintnall, 11, who loves playing basketball and video games, also feels school is important for his future.
"It helps you learn and you can go far in life if you learn stuff," Brintnall said.
Davis also said his work ethic serves as a good example as well.
"He's a hard worker and stays on task," Davis said.
