Auto dealership burglarized

Police responded to a burglary Monday morning at Brown & Sons Auto.

Capt. Mike Hanken of the Marshalltown Police Department said the burglary occurred overnight Sunday at the car dealership at 107 Iowa Ave. W.

The culprit shattered the glass on the office's door to gain entry and rifled through desks and cabinets presumably in search of something of value, Hanken said.

The owner didn't immediately notice anything missing, but is still checking the premises to determine what, if anything was stolen.

Hanken said the suspect left fresh tire tracks and footprints in the snow.
