Am I the only one who is displeased with the RAGBRAI logo as shown on the front page of the Sunday T-R? At first, I thought this was an April Fools' joke! This logo shows "Marshalltown" written across a bicycle wheel with a large beverage cup in the center and the words "Proceed to Party" at the bottom. Plus there are three bicyclists, beverage in hand, silhouetted at the bottom of this design.
I realize RAGBRAI is supposed to be fun, and I like to party as much as the next person. But not everyone who rides RAGBRAI parties in this manner. Perhaps a logo which gives more promotion to the family values offered by Marshalltown would give a more accurate representation of our city.
