DES MOINES - Eight different players scored goals as the Marshalltown girls' soccer team claimed a 9-0 victory over Des Moines Lincoln on Monday at the Cownie Soccer Complex.
"We played a good game and did a better job of possessing the ball," said Marshalltown head coach Allie Osmundson.
"In the second half, we did a much better job of finishing our chances."
Taylor Vaudt started the scoring for the Bobcats with her team-leading third goal of the season.
Lexi Vaughn and Morgan Gardalen followed with goals.
Brittany Waldron scored twice in the second half to go with goals from Molly Major, Erin Woltjer, Megan Major and Sam Smith.
The Bobcats take a 3-3 record into its CIML Iowa Conference matchup against Mason City on Friday at 4:45 p.m. at Leonard Cole Field.
Monday's junior varsity game went to Marshalltown 2-0 over the Railsplitters. Tasia King and Hannah Thomae.
