MUSCATINE - The Marshalltown Community College scored a pair of come-from-behind victories over Muscatine on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tigers won 12-5 and 6-3 to stretch their winning streak to four games.
MCC (16-18, 9-7) got four runs in the sixth in game one and four in the seventh of game two to secure the pair of victories.
Cody Munsinger had three RBIs while Justen Folger had a pair in the opener, which was won by Jeff Degano, who notched five strikeouts in 2 innings of work.
The Tigers entered the seventh inning of the nightcap down 3-2 before the first three batters reached base before a McCoy double scored two runs to put MCC back on top. MCC added a pair of runs later in the frame courtesy of two passed balls by the Cardinals (6-32, 2-14).
Ben Lott went 3-for-4 in the night while William Salas went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.
Zach Throckmorten pitched two innings of relief to pick up his second win of the season. Blake Brommel started and went five innings, striking out five and walking five.
MCC heads to Centerville this weekend for two doubleheaders against Indian Hills (22-20, 10-10).
