Special Olympics games a success

The Central Iowa Special Olympics-Spring Games were held April 14 at the Marshalltown High School Complex. Thanks to the weather and all the volunteer help, the successful event allowed more than 200 Central Iowa Athletes to compete. All awarded placement ribbons for their efforts.

For more than 30 years, the Marshalltown Noon Optimist Club has hosted this activity with the support of numerous volunteer organizations and local businesses. Our thanks this year to: Arby's, Culvers, Pizza Hut, Hardees, Taco John's, KwikStar,WalMart, Fareway, McDonalds, Hy Vee Food Store, Dairy Queen

Noon Optimists Members and families, Morning Optimist Members, Lennox Industries LLDO Volunteer Group, BCLUW Honor Society, Marshalltown High School Students, Youth and Shelter Services, Sea Scouts, Marshall County 4-H
