DENVER - Five placewinner performances were enough to propel the East Marshall girls' track and field team to sixth place at the 14-team Cyclone Invitational on Monday night.
The Mustangs were led by a first-place finish for the shuttle hurdle relay team, as Madison Hinegardner, Jennifer Chapman, Katie Roseland and Abby Nuese timed in at 1 minute, 11.94 seconds.
East Marshall had three runner-up finishes on the night. Paige Miller was second in the 3,000 (11:29.01) and 800 (2:29.72), while Nuese earned silver in the 100 hurdles (16.30). Kristen Amendt added a sixth-place result in the 3,000 (12:22.21).
